Vibrating Wire Anchor Loadcell

Vibrating Wire Anchor Loadcell conducts load measurements using a specialized sensor type called vibrating wire sensors to measure load or stress. Mounted around high-strength steel load cells, these sensors rely on the principle of the resonance frequency changing as a tense wire is subjected to mechanical stress. When a load is applied to a load cell, it undergoes slight deformation, affecting the tension of the wire. This tension alters the output frequency proportionally to the load, which is then converted to engineering units using a calibration factor. Such load cells are commonly used in various applications such as anchors, bolts, ground nails, piles, and retaining structures. They are manufactured with holes of different sizes at their centers to suit the needs of specific applications. Utilizing a multiple sensor configuration, all sensors individually transmit data, enhancing accuracy.

Due to their high precision, long-term stability, and resistance to environmental influences, they are preferred, especially for eccentric loading. It is recommended to use them in conjunction with bottom and top bearing plates.
