Throughout the survey, the Reader prompts users when stable readings are ready to record at each depth. Recording is seamless: pulling the cable upwards to the next depth automatically triggers the Reader to store the stable reading in non-volatile memory. This hands-free operation allows users to focus on manipulating the cable and probe, optimizing productivity.
In case of interruptions, resuming surveys at the same depth is straightforward; a simple tap ensures no data loss. Post-survey, validation is key: plotting checksums, profiles, and changes ensures data accuracy before leaving the site. PROFIL Reader Application
- Operating System (OS): Compatible with Android 4.0 and above.
- Capacity: The number of inclinometers and surveys is solely constrained by the device memory.
- Maximum Depth: Capable of surveying depths up to 300 meters (1000 feet).
- Depth Intervals: Intervals are set at multiples of 0.5 meters or 2 feet.
- Survey Screen: Features large, easily readable characters. Displays active depth, last recorded depth, A and B readings in millimeters, inches, or classic units, checksums, and a progress bar. The record button provides prompts for user interaction, allowing users to wait, tap, or pull (in hands-free mode).
- Data Visualization: Plots checksums, profiles, change-from-initial, and change-from-last in high resolution. Additionally, it displays a data table for inspection and survey-time corrections.
- File Transfer: Facilitates file transfers from the Reader via Internet connection. Modified files (new surveys) are automatically attached to emails. Dropbox transfers are streamlined and require no action at the destination.
